Tenebrae, our annual "service of darkness," is a reflection upon the death of Christ and his 7 last "words" from the cross. This service makes use of intentional prolonged silence. So, as you listen, meditate during the silent periods of the recording. As the service reaches its conclusion, listen for the bells and the tearing of the alter vestments, signaling the death of our Lord and the tearing of Veil in the Temple.
