With the Celebratory Season finally upon us, we turn our attention to the season of Advent. The word "Advent" simply means "arrival" or "coming," particularly the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Incarnation. And while Advent prepares us for the celebration of Christmas, the First Sunday of Advent is always reserved to remind the church that there is a Second Advent, a Second arrival, a Second coming of Christ in great power and glory. Listen this week as we kick off the celebratory season by considering the signs of Christ Jesus's second coming, as well as the response and posture of those who trust in Him.

So far throughout our study of Hebrews, this beautiful sermon and epistle has shown us that the Lord Jesus is God's Superior Revelation to the world, our Superior hope, and our Superior High Priest. Now, as we begin to wind down this letter and prepare for Christ the King and Advent, we turn our attention to the Lord Jesus's sacrifice of himself as the Superior once-for-all offering for sin.

How are we to properly relate to God? Is this something that is even possible for us? The author of Hebrews would tell us "Yes! It is possible to relate to God, but only through Jesus." Listen this week as Pastor Nick walks us through how the High Priestly ministry of the Lord Jesus, particularly in his interceding for us, provides us with the superior paradigm for coming to God.
