Have you ever said anything you immediately regretted? Ever spoken a word in anger or frustration that seriously damaged a relationship? This week, with authority and vivid imagery, James reminds believers in Christ that the hardest work of faith is in taming the tongue. The untamed tongue, he tells us, not only encompasses the whole of our sinful nature, but damages the unity that the Gospel brings.

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God," (Exodus 20:8-10). So declares Yahweh in the fourth of the Ten Commandments.
What is the Sabbath? Now that Christ is Risen, when is the Sabbath? How should Christians "keep" the Sabbath, or should we even "keep" it at all? These are weighty questions that Pastor Chris will attempt to help us answer in this series of Sunday School lessons. We hope you will join us for the first of what promises to be many great discussions on the Christian and the Sabbath!

What does James mean when he states, "Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead"? This one statement has caused controversy among believing Christians for centuries. This week, Pastor Nick asserts that the entire letter of James is an outworking of "be doers of the word and not hearers only," and manifests by proving our justification and faith by our works. Join us as we begin to unpack this heavy, but biblical, teaching from the Saint James the Just.

In our final message from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, we consider what Paul means by the "whole armor of God." Why do we "put on" this armor? And what is this armor for?

In our second week in the letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul encourages the Ephesian Christians (as well as Christians today) to remember who they were before Christ Jesus and to live out who they were after coming to saving faith in Christ Jesus.
